4 Days Tour From Fes To Marrakech Through The Desert Of Merzouga
INTRODUCTION :
A private tour from Fes to Marrakech, via the dunes of the Erg Chebbi sand sea, is a good way to get from one city to the other and a great use of time. The route, via the desert and the southern oases, gives you the opportunity to experience the best of the south of Morocco with an overnight camel trek to sleep in a deep desert camp.
DAY 1: FES – AZROU – CEDAR FOREST – ZIZ VALLEY – ERRACHDIA – MERZOUGA DUNES
Morning departure from Fes to Merzouga, passing through Midlet and the cedar forest inhabited by babbary macaque/monkeys, crossing the plateau of the middle atlas characterized by beautiful Berber villages. Sunset in the desert and overnight in a bivouac in the dunes of Erg Chebi. New Year’s Eve with dinner and traditional Sahara music.
DAY 2 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TOUDRA GORGES
In the morning we will depart from Merzouga to Ouarzazate, stopping in an archaeological area where there are many prehistoric fossils (Rissani), a typical Berber village with an ancient Kasbah. Departure towards the valley of roses and visit to the mountains with the typical houses/houses inhabited by Berber people. Lunch at the Todgha Gorges, and trekking along the gorges. Visit the Dades gorges, dinner, and overnight in a typical riad to the gorges.
DAY 3 : TOUDRA OASIS – DADES GORGES – ROSE VALLEY – SKOURA KASBAH – OUARZZATE
Departure in the morning to Ouarzazate, after passing through the valley of roses (El-Kelaâ M’Gouna), where we will visit the typical boutiques that produce oil with the essence of roses. On the road to Ouarzazate, we will pass Skoura, a visit to an ancient Kasbah 500 years (Amrhidil) surrounded by Berber villages still inhabited by locals in a charming oasis. In the afternoon we will explore the beautiful Fint oasis, and cross the beautiful oases and the Desert Mountains that surround Ouarzazate. Return to Ouarzazate and overnight stay in a riad.
DAY 4 : OUARZAZATE – KSAR AIT BEN HADDOU – KASBAH ELGLAOUI TELOUET – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH
Departure for Marrakech, visit the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou. Located 30 km from Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou is an ancient UNESCO-listed Berber Kasba that has kept its original architecture and rhythms intact. We will continue our journey towards Marrakech, passing through the Kasbah laglaoui in telouet and the mountains of Tizi N’Tichka (High Atlas) at 2600 meters characterized by magnificent naturalistic landscapes of mountains bordered by Berber villages. Arrival in the afternoon in Marrakech.
