9 Days Imperial Cities South Morocco And Desert Tour From Casablanca

INTRODUCTION :

 Departure from Casablanca and transfer to Fes. Along the road we will pass by Meknés (a stop at the Roman Ruins of Volubilis and the sacred city of Moulay Idriss is scheduled, guided city tour of fes including most highlights of the city, travel through the middle atlas and ziz valley to reach merzouga, camel ride and overnight in desert camp; visit of the gorges in toudra and dades, then to ouarzazate to visit the cinema studios and the unesco Kasbah in ait ben haddou. Travel to Marrakech fo a sightseeing tour of the city.

DAY 1 : VISIT OF CASABLANCA – RABAT – MEKNES

Morning departure from Casablanca where we will visit the Hassan II Mosque. Immediately afterwards we will leave in the direction of Rabat, where we will be able to admire the ancient Kasbah on the sea, the Chellah and the suggestive medina. Along the road we will pass by Meknés (there will be a stop at the Roman Ruins of Volubilis and the sacred city of Moulay Idriss I, the burial city of the founder of Islam in Morocco, arriving in Meknes founded at the end of the 17th century by Moulay Ismail, where we will visit the historical monuments of Morocco like the Bab Mansour gate, Hari Souani and the old medina).  DAY 2 : MEKNES TO FES

Departure for Fes, the day will be dedicated to the visit of the city, which includes the medieval Medina, the ancient Medersa, the El Qaraouiyyin Mosque and the sumptuous Nejjarine fountain. You will be accompanied by an accredited / professional english guide who will take you to explore the main monuments and landmarks of the imperial city of Fes. In the evening we will have dinner and stay in a riad in Fes.

 DAY 3 : FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDELT – ZIZ GORGES – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DUNES

Departure from Fes to Merzouga, passing through Midlet and the cedar forest inhabited by the Barbary apes / monkeys, crossing the plains of middle atlas characterized by beautiful Berber villages. We will stop for lunch at the city of Midelt, then continue throught the middle atlas mountains with many stops for photos especially in the breathtaking of tizi n talghoumt and the Ziz Gorges. Continue to Reach Merzoua through Erfoud the capital of fossils in Morocco. Arrival in Merzouga dunes, we will change the car with camel for another adventure in the big dunes of erg chebbi. You will ride camel for a beautiful sunset over the golden sand dunes in the desert and overnight in a bivouac in the dunes of Erg Chebi.

 DAY 4 : EXPLORING MERZOUGA

Early wake up in the morning to assist the sunrise over the dunes, then camel ride back to the hotel in Merzouga twon for breakfast and shozer. After breakfast we will leave from Merzouga towards Ouarzazate, stopping in an archaeological area where there are many prehistoric fossils (Rissani), a typical Berber village with an ancient Kasbah. Departure towards the valley of roses and visit to the mountains with the typical houses / houses inhabited by Berber people. Lunch at the Todgha Gorges, and trekking along the gorges. Visit to the Dades gorges, dinner and overnight in a typical riad to the gorges.

 DAY 5 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TOUDRA GORGES – ROSE VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – FINT OASIS

Departure in the morning to Ouarzazate, after passing through the valley of roses (El-Kelaâ M’Gouna), where we will visit the typical boutiques that produce oil with the essence of roses. On the road to Ouarzazate we will pass to Skoura, where there is an ancient Kasbah (Amrhidil) surrounded by Berber villages still inhabited by locals in a charming oasis. In the afternoon half day trip to the beautiful Fint oasis, to cross the beautiful oases and the desert mountains that surround Ouarzazate. Return to Ouarzazate and overnight in riad.

 DAY 6 : OUARZAZATE – KSAR AIT BEN HADDOU – TELOUET – MARRAKECH

Departure for Marrakech, visit to the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou. Located 30 km from Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou is an ancient UNESCO-listed Berber Kasbah that has kept its original architecture and rhythms intact. We will continue our journey towards Marrakech, via the Valley onila to reach the Kasbah of Laglaoui in Talouet, the continuethrough the mountains of Tizi N’Tichka (High Atlas) with 2600 meters high characterized by magnificent naturalistic landscapes of mountains bordered by Berber villages. Arrival in the afternoon in Marrakech and visit to the Jmaa el Fnaa square and the medina, dinner and overnight in riad.

 DAY 7 : MARRAKECH GUIDED HIGHLIGHT CITY TOUR

Visit to the historical monuments of Marrakech with an English speaking guide, the visit includes: visit of the Koutoubia mosque from outside, then to Saadian Tombs in the Kasbah town, just near we will visit two old palaces of Badia Palace and Bahia Palace, crossing the old jewish quarter to reach the Souks/Markets to see how the artisans works in their workshops and in the middle of the souks we will visit the old Coranic school Ben Youssef Mederssa. The guided city tour of Marrakech will finish in the famous Jamaa Lafna Square, a live square in the evening. overnight stay in riad.

 DAY 8 : FULL DAY GUIDED TRIP TO ESSAOUIRA MOGADOR

A day trip to Essaouira from Marrakech to visit a charming little seaside town, is the ancient Portuguese city of Mogador. Visit the fish market, the medina and the beach of Sidi Kauki, known as the paradise of surfers. Return in the evening to Marrakech.

 DAY 9 : MARRAKECH TO CASABLANCA AIRPORT

Depends on your flight time, transfer from Marrakech to Casablanca airport.
